The property will need to be transmitted into the name of the Personal Representative to be sold.

OR

If the property is the subject of a specific bequest then it can be transmitted directly to the beneficiary then sold.

YES – Probate

Once Probate is obtained lodge a Form 5 Transmission Application with DNRM. Once Probate is obtained lodge a Form 6 & 24A Transmission Application with DNRM.

NO-Probate

Lodge a Form 5A Transmission Application with DNRM along with the original Will and Death Certificate. Lodge a Form 6 & 24A Transmission Application with DNRM along with the original Will and Death Certificate.
